User Guide
Navigate the map
To pan, swipe in any direction to move across the map.
To zoom, pinch in or out to see more detail or a broader view.
For rotation, use two fingers and twist to adjust the map's orientation.
Switch between different map types
Switch between map styles like OSM and OpenTopoMap.
Reset map to current location
Reset map to north
Use compass mode
Use device orientation mode
In this mode, map rotation with fingers is disabled, and the map automatically aligns
with your phone's physical orientation. This allows you to point your phone toward real-world objects,
ensuring they line up accurately with their positions on the map, making navigation
more intuitive and aligned with your surroundings.
Measure distance from your location to the borders of the visible map
Tap the location pointer to measure the distance from your location to the outlined borders of the visible map.
Adjust the map to measure the distance to specific landmarks or objects.
Use the ruler tool to measure distances on free paths or along selected trails
Use the ruler tool to measure distances on custom paths or selected trails.
Draw the path with your finger to mark the measurement route. In ruler mode,
single-finger panning is disabled, as it’s reserved for drawing the ruler path.
Use two fingers to pan the map while in ruler mode.
Select a highlighted OSM trail or GPX track and use the ruler tool to measure specific
segments along its path. As you move the ruler along the chosen trail, it follows the exact route,
calculating the distance of the measured segment. This allows you to obtain precise measurements
for any portion of the selected trail, giving you detailed insights for planned segments or key points
along your route.
Load and highlight available OSM trails within the visible map area
Tap highlighted trails to view their names and lengths
Search for OSM trails by name within a specific map radius
The search radius (up to 300 km) will be displayed on the map to define the area being searched.
You can modify the search radius or adjust the map to fit the radius as needed.
Enter the full or partial name of the trail you wish to find and wait for the results,
as the search may take some time to complete. If any trails match your criteria, a list of results will appear.
From this list, you can select a trail to navigate to, which will then be loaded and highlighted on the map for further exploration.
Convert selected OSM trails into GPX tracks
Save converted OSM data as GPX tracks to local storage
Load GPX tracks from local storage or the Files app
Tap a GPX track to view its elevation profile and detailed statistics
Measure specific segments of GPX tracks using the ruler tool
When a GPX track is selected, use the ruler tool to measure specific portions of it for detailed insights.
Move the ruler along the selected track to view distance and elevation data for the chosen segment.
The current measurement will display as a "Track Ruler," and the highlighted segment will be reflected on the elevation profile,
allowing you to analyze distance, elevation changes and estimated time within that specific part of the track.
Estimate traveling time based on track difficulty and elevation changes
Calculate estimated travel time based on track difficulty and elevation changes.
Use the difficulty slider to adjust for conditions like snow, ice, or other factors that may increase trail difficulty,
as well as personal factors like fitness level and hiking experience. Adjusting the difficulty level will automatically
update the estimated time, giving you a more personalized and realistic travel time for the current trail conditions.
Filter looped GPX tracks by the furthest distance from the start or the highest elevation point
If a track moves forward and then doubles back along the same path or close to it, navigation can be challenging.
The filter tool helps by isolating a single direction of the track, allowing you to filter based on criteria like
maximum point distance or highest elevation point. This way, you can view only the forward or backward route making it
easier to follow your intended path without confusion.
Simulate route progress by visualizing completed and remaining sections
The elevation profile provides an interactive way to view your progress and plan ahead.
The blue section indicates the completed part of the track, while the non-filled section represents the remaining route.
By tapping or dragging the vertical line on the elevation profile, you can simulate traveling along the route.
The yellow arrow moves to your selected position, and the remaining statistics (distance, ascent, descent, and time) update dynamically.
If you're on the track, this feature helps you quickly see the remaining route details from your current location
to the end of the trail, making it easy to plan your next steps.
View your elevation profile position while following or staying close to the selected GPX track
View your current position on the elevation profile as you follow or stay near a selected GPX track.
Your location appears on the profile diagram when you're within the set proximity radius of the track.
Adjust the radius using the proximity slider
to ensure accurate tracking based on your preferences and the terrain conditions.
Reverse GPX track direction
Download offline maps for selected GPX tracks
Record your own GPX tracks
Build custom GPX tracks by drawing on free terrain or connecting to trails
